The Courtyard House

This new house was attached to a Billiard Room that originally formed part of a large Victorian house near the river in Twickenham. Planning restrictions meant the building could not go much higher than the existing boundary wall, meaning a basement level was introduced (despite being very near the river the site somehow was not in the flood zone!). The bedrooms were located in the basement level and the living accommodation included the converted Billiard room – below are the ‘before and after’ photos!
